The three of us at Christmas in
Rochester. Anna received a beautiful rocking horse from her Oma (an Oma
is sort of like a grandma but with more O's) and lots and lots of
clothes from others. Her uncle gave her a box of Queen Anne
chocolate covered cordial cherries which her daddy promptly ate on her
behalf. All in all it was a great time.

Anna loves to get ahold of the
phone. She will listen to the person on the other end for a while
with a look of great concentration, and then she gets distracted and
trys to eat the phone. No doubt it was a grandma on the other end
in this picture!

We got a playpen in February for
Anna. I think this is her first time in the playpen. As you
can see, she was not at all impressed with it.

Anna was quite interested in
this basket, so Shannon put her in it and took a few pictures. As

Anna was giving me a hand with
some work on the computer. My new job as a consulting engineer with Giant Solutions LLC lets me work
from home on occasion - a perk that I really enjoy.

Since Anna was having some
teething pain Shannon gave her a peeled carrot to gum and 'chew' on.
Anna loved it. First she looked at it and turned it
around in her hands, then she banged it against the floor, and finally
she would suck on it for a little while. The she started the whole
process over again. That carrot was hours of amusement for her!

Anna has been on the verge of
walking for a long time. Since March she has been pulling herself
up on furniture and walking along using it for support. I thought
she was going to be walking weeks ago, but it hasn't happened yet.

I think she is wondering if that

With the advent of warm weather
we decided to get the backpack carrier out of storage. Anna
immediately fell in love with it. She really enjoys her high-up
perch when we go for walks. Even when it is just on the ground she
thinks it is pretty special!

Anna stands so well. Her
balance has gotten pretty good and she even stands by herself on
occasion.

Anna and Maddie had to stay in
their car seats for a while so we put them next to each other so they
would be entertained. We were moving a piano into Blaine &
Nycole's apartment and they just couldn't be under foot (which is just
where they most love to be)!

We took a drive down a rural
road after church this morning and stopped by a lilac bush by the side
of the road. Anna got her first introduction to Shannon's favorite
flower.
