Shannon's mother
& friend Jen came to visit over the summer. We went
out for dinner at Fresh City one evening, had a great time, and Jen
took this picture for us. |

On Labor Day we got
together with friends from our church in Albany as well as my family.
Ann got an opportunity to meet her cousin Noah and even hold
him on her own for a little while! She was very excited, he
less so. |
| Anna wasn't the only cousin to
admire the new arrival. Maddie enjoyed him as well. |
| In Boston we have been attending Evangelical
Baptist Church, which is located in a mid-19th century
building with a very neat bell tower and great acoustics for
congregational singing. God has blessed us with good
christian fellowship and encouragement here. |

a moment in the back yard.

There is a flock of
wild turkeys that roams our Boston neighborhood. They like to
frequent our back yard and Anna loves to chase them.

For our anniversary
we went to Rockport, MA for a day and stayed in the Sally Webster House
Bed and Breakfast. This is a picture of ol' Sally herself in
one of her better moments that graces the sitting room.

Our room was on the third floor
and was very cozy. Just out of the bathroom was a small landing
and this spiral staircase down to the second floor deck. |
 |
The grounds and area were wonderfully relaxing and Shannon and I completely enjoyed our time there. |

Blaine has a game with small
white blocks that fit in a plastic frame. The goal of the game is
to use a small hammer to gently knock as many blocks from the frame as
you can without making them all fall out. Anna and Autumn tried
playing, though the ensuing hammer-fest was probably not what the
game's creators envisioned.

Anna had a dress-up day at her 'pre-school' class and went as a princess. I think she really got into the roll.
